About Postcrossing

Postcrossing is a site that allows strangers from all around the world to exchange postcards. It was launched in 2005, and since then it has gained hundreds of thousands of members.

When you sign up, you will be allowed to send five postcards to start. Once someone registers a postcard that you have sent as “received,” your name goes into the bucket to get a postcard. As more and more of your cards are registered by their recipients, you are allowed to have more postcards traveling at once.

A note: this is not a hobby for anyone who demands instant gratification. It can take up to a month from putting your first postcard in the mail to when your first received postcard shows up in your mailbox. Patience is key! :)

That is Postcrossing in a nutshell! This blog is just a showcase of the postcards I have received, organized by country and topic. If you want, you can also view my profile on Postcrossing. Please note that I am not interested in direct swaps, so please don’t request any. Thanks!
